0Exploring art with baby
I used to think drinks receptions with an impressive selection of canapés followed by a tour of an exhibition was one of the perks of being a journalist. Now I know it’s not only journalists who get to network next to a Picasso or a Dali. Parents do too.
Nine-month old Baby Girl made sure we had the perfect place to go after our 8.15 breakfast at Colbert yesterday.
She was one of the winners of the sculpture competition at Purple Dragon, which was organised in collaboration with Christie’s, and she got to take her whole family to breakfast at Christie’s yesterday to see her work on display.
I really didn’t expect her to sort out our social life at the age of nine months, but I’m not complaining. I loved the mini croque monsieurs, mini brownies and mini profiteroles–not to mention the guided tour for the under 3s which included getting to feel the texture of a Henry Moore sculpture. Just another perk of being a mum.
