0Climbing Mt Kilimanjaro and making brave decisions for charity
When we started thinking about wanting children, I instantly found myself counting months and planning travels around what I thought would work. That turned out to be a waste of time, and getting pregnant and being pregnant was not as straightforward as I expected.
Because of my own experience I’ve been very touched by the fabulous photographer Julia Boggio’s story. She was hoping that this year would be the year she would have another baby, but she took the brave decision to stop making plans around a potential pregnancy and jumped on the chance to climb Kilimanjaro in aid of Borne, part of Chelsea & Westminster Health Charity, instead.
She decided the worst thing that could happen was that she would get pregnant and have to put off the trip for another time, and the big climb will now happen in less than a month. Please help sponsor Julia to support our local charity Borne, which focuses on preventing disability and death in childbirth and creating lifelong health for mothers and babies.
Julia (pictured on the right in the picture above) is also running a fantastic competition now where you can win a £2500 luxury camera. For every £20 donation she receives from 11 July until she reaches 300 donations, she will enter the names in a hat and draw one lucky winner. You can read more about the competition on Julia’s blog HERE and then make your donation HERE.
Best of luck in reaching all your goals, Julia!
