1Charming fairy venue The Fairy Treehouse opens in Battersea
In the past week I’ve followed updates from Fairytale Friends on their exciting new project, The Fairy Treehouse on Webb’s Road in Battersea, and we loved seeing their new space last week.
The new venue will be ideal for fairy birthday parties and events, and the shop will also be a lovely place to visit for little fairy fans.
In the ground floor shop, there’s a little table and chairs where little ones can sit down and write a letter to a fairy, sprinkle some fairy dust over it, and then go around the corner to post the letter in the fairy mailbox in the adorable fairy garden.
The fairy garden is where visitors will enter for classes and events, and it has been beautifully done with wooden sign posts in pastel colours, green grass, a bendy path and pink door. Inside there’s a room where grown-ups can enjoy coffee and tea while little ones join an event or class downstairs.
The Fairy Treehouse event space in the basement has a magical feel, featuring green-painted walls, fairy lights and tree and flower wall decorations. There will be fairy dance classes in The Fairy Treehouse on Tuesdays, and it can be booked for birthday parties with up to 15 children on other days.
For birthdays, the lovely Katie, who runs Fairytale Friends, said the party-goers can enjoy a picnic on the floor–something I can see fitting in perfectly with the fairy theme.
Upstairs the charming shop, which features handmade fairy wings, rag dolls, fairy dust and lots of sweet gifts for girls, will be open when there are no classes or events running downstairs. The first events–Fairy School workshops–will be hosted today, and next week there are Princess School workshops at The Fairy Treehouse.
Both these workshops are sold out, but tickets are now available for a Fairy Garden Workshop on Wednesday 12 April from 4 to 5pm, where attendees can decorate their own flower pots and create a magical fairy garden. This workshop is aimed at children aged 5 to 8 and tickets are £11 per child.
Thanks for coming to visit our new fairy home Mummy in the City!
