0A family day out at the Children’s Christmas Spectacular
‘I met Elsa!’
Baby Girl must have thought life was treating her well last weekend. She was attending the same Christmas party as Elsa, Anna and Olaf. And that wasn’t all. She got to hang out in a special Frozen Corner, eating Frozen chocolates, a snowman cake, picking out a pink Frozen tiara and even wiping her face with a Frozen napkin.
But this was just part of the experience at the Children’s Christmas Spectacular at Mandarin Oriental by Chaika Events, which we had been invited to attend.
The best balloon modelling artist I’ve ever seen was standing in another corner making everything from Christmas tree balloons, red and green balloon wreaths, snowmen, penguins and more for the young guests. Next to him there was a bubble fairy, creating giant-sized bubbles, which we could even go inside, and in the room next doors there was a photo snow globe, art table, where we created Christmas tree decorations and a sparkling crown, and little igloos Baby Girl crawled through.
She seemed overwhelmed with all the amazing activities on offer, and after an hour we took a seat in front of the stage to watch ballet performed inside a snow globe, a fun Christmas-themed magic show and more. On the way out, Baby Girl got to meet with Santa before collecting a big goody bag with a bird house, food and a box of sweets.
I don’t think any of us really wanted to leave the magic winter land Chaika Events had created at London’s five-star Mandarin Hotel that Sunday morning, and after seeing what an event by Chaika Events is all about, I can’t wait for Baby Girl and me to experience another one.
Chaika Events normally does bespoke children’s parties and events across UK and Europe, and most of the parties are in central London venues, with Mandarin Oriental being one of their favourite spots. The company can also help plan smaller events, including sourcing a specific entertainer or a special birthday cake.
I’m thrilled to hear they’ve already started planning next year’s Christmas Spectacular, and there’s also an Easter event on the agenda. Watch this space!
