3 of my favourite large gifts for young children

Scooter
One of the largest presents under our tree this Christmas will be Baby Boy’s new Mini Micro Deluxe Scooter (available from SkateHut for £69.95). I can’t wait for him to get his own scooter, and as long as it’s doable to hide large items I think scooters, bicycles and balance bikes can make fantastic Christmas gifts.

Doll house
Big Girl has started wishing for more and more large presents, and some of the largest things on her list include doll accessories. We’re big fans of Sylvanian Families, and some retailers offer house gift sets, so that it’s possible to get a Sylvanian Families house with a few pieces of furniture included. I also love the selection of cool doll accessories in the My London Girl boutique at Westfield and the Our Generation doll accessories, such as the Our Generation Sweet Stop Ice Cream Truck.

Play table
When Baby Boy turned 1, the largest present he received was a very practical one. We decided he needed a play table, and after doing a lot of research on play tables I decided to buy the Eden Play Table from Great Little Trading Co (£235). This white wooden play table (see picture at the top) has more storage space than many other play tables, as it features a storage compartment under the reversible play surface and two pull-out storage drawers that fit neatly under the table. A large and functional present for the whole family to enjoy!
