0Finding experienced babysitters in London
I can’t say I know many of our neighbours very well. I once introduced myself to one lady, and I’ve never seen her since. But thanks to Mummy in the City’s new advertiser Babysitters of Kensington and Chelsea (Bokac), I do know a handful of lovely and experienced babysitters in our area.
This is exactly what I found I needed last year. I started working as a freelancer, and needed someone who was available to babysit for a few hours now and then. In addition, Daddy T and I only had one babysitter we used for evening babysitting before, and we soon realised it was worth knowing more than one.
I think Bokac offers an excellent service to local parents and families visiting London. I’ve met a number of the babysitters, and all the ones I’ve met have other jobs, but lots of babysitting experience and they’ve seemed very reliable. The babysitter profiles and testimonials are available online and parents can book online.
To book a babysitter, you first enter the date and select the babysitters you want to send the job request to. When a babysitter accepts the job, you can go back in and book the babysitter and pay via PayPal.
Bokac charges £10 per hour for appointments until 1am (£15 after 1am and on public holidays), and there are no travel expenses to cover since the babysitters live locally. Date nights can go back on the agenda!
