Finding gore-tex winter boots for toddlers
Earlier this week I called a friend in Norway who runs a nursery to ask for advice on winter boots. I bought Baby Girl a pair of Ricosta boots with laces from Trotters last week, but she needed one more pair of winter boots in size 20–a pair without laces to wear to nursery.
I figured my Norwegian friend would know what was best for toddlers during the winter months. But after chatting to her it became clear Baby Girl didn’t really need what Norwegians call winter boots.
Baby Girl needed the type of boots Norwegians deem to be practical for toddlers attending nursery in September and October. My friend’s top choice for these months were the Ecco Gore-Tex Mimic boots, and I think these will be great for Baby Girl in London this winter.
I asked Grandma S to buy them for us in Norway, but I’ve since realised that we could have bought them online in the UK. They’re available from Little People Shoes, an online retailer focusing on ‘fashionable yet sensible children’s footwear’. In addition, Ecco shoes for kids are sold in Ecco’s own e-shop.
