Finding quality kids nightwear at The Pyjama Store
At times I’ve been dreading bedtime. We seem to have phases when it’s seriously hard work to put two kids to bed, and there are days when bedtime appears to be a never-ending happening. Sometimes it’s sweet–and other times I end up benefitting from having an in-demand pyjama to tempt with.
Four-year-old Big Girl is not always easy to please when it comes to nightwear, and even a character-themed pyjama can be all wrong if she doesn’t like the colour. But when I opened a beautifully wrapped parcel from online boutique The Pyjama Store, started by a Londoner, I knew we would have no arguments.
The Pyjama Store prides itself on picking top nightwear brands, and the exclusive selection is good for discerning parents who want to ensure their little ones have a good night sleep in comfortable, quality nightwear. We received a pretty pink deer pyjama (£24) by Canadian brand Hatley from The Pyjama Store, and two Ava and Luc pyjamas.
The Hatley soft cotton jersey pyjama would be a beautiful choice for families with a tradition to buy new nightwear for the children for Christmas Day. The print is wintery and it features ribbed trims, which I like because it then doesn’t curl up during the night and keeps Big Girl warm and snug. The Pyjama Store has a number of Hatley pyjamas for kids, including one with a cute unicorn print and one with a red farm tractor print in the same style as the deer one.
I also adore the Ava & Luc pyjamas, which do not have the same jersey cotton feel as Hatley, but are perhaps more suitable for all seasons. The brand stands out because they specialise in organic cotton and the material is free from irritable solutions and is dyed with Okeo-Tex dyes. I like the focus on fabrics and that they seem to keep the fit after being washed a number of times. The prints are also cute, and Big Girl and Baby Boy look sweet together when wearing the Ava & Luc sheep pyjama (£28) and bunny print pyjama (£28) they received.
After seeing the selection and two of the brands featured at The Pyjama Store, I think this local online boutique has succeeded in finding functional and good quality nightwear for kids.
