Finding the best christening gown

I’ve tried telling Baby Girl that a christening is like a wedding. The photos will be with her forever. Knowing me they will be plastered around her home and in endless number of photobooks and frames.

That’s why I’ve spent a lot of time researching christening gowns for her. I’ve decided that my favourite brand is Kissy Kissy, which has a number of styles with cute details and a vintage look.

We’ve been to Lizzie’s in Webb’s Road in Battersea and Pure Baby in Fulham Road, where they sell Kissy Kissy christening gowns, and both shops offered to order in the style and size we wanted.

But whereas I’ve spent a lot of time planning Baby Girl’s big day, I don’t think she’s been pulling her weight. Even though I feel I cut her nails almost daily, she’s managed to scratch her face more than ever before.

I guess she must be upset though. It’s practically like waking up on her wedding day with a blemish that’s impossible to conceal.
