Finding the best clothes labels

Name label - woven sew-onI’m not buying Baby Girl any more clothes in a very long time. I just spent Saturday night sewing on 32 clothes labels, and I’ve not even done half her wardrobe. Tomorrow is her first day at nursery, which I’m super excited about, but I’m really not thrilled about spending hours on labelling clothes to prepare for the big day.

I ordered her name labels from Labels4Kids earlier in August. After looking at all the options, I decided that clothing labels had to be old-fashioned. I much preferred the look of the woven sew-on labels compared to the sticking labels. The woven ones seemed to suit Baby Girl’s style.

But they do come at a price. I’m not talking about money, but time.

In terms of money, they’re great though. I’m sure Daddy T will be very pleased to see the labeling-effect in the coming months. If I know buying something means giving up on the time I was meant to have for reading Tatler’s new School’s Guide, for example, I’m surely much more likely to think twice before checking out any online shopping baskets.
