1First times shopping for normal clothes post-pregnancy
Somehow I’m finding it very difficult to go to the monthly baby cinema event at Beaufort House without spending less than a hundred. It’s a difficult one to explain though when the event itself is £9.90, including lunch and coffee.
They only charge extra for drinks ordered with lunch, and as I usually have sparkling water, it’s definitely not any lavish drinking habits that make Daddy T’s credit card statement an interesting read.
It’s more the unfortunate–or for me fortunate–event that my favourite shop Austique in King’s Road is a stone throw away from Beaufort House, and Baby Girl is always asleep when we walk home from the half-day event, giving me the perfect opportunity to update my wardrobe with some non- maternity/non- nursing wear pieces.
My excuse is that it’s probably about time–not to mention well-deserved. Two weeks ago I wore a sweater for the first time since Baby Girl was born, and I’ve not really bought anything for me without thinking about a growing bump or ease of breastfeeding for almost one and a half years.
Perhaps it’s simply meant to be that the location of the lovely baby cinema event practically forces me to go to Austique.
“its simply meant” sounds about right! 🙂
I am sure Baby and your hubs both want you to look amazing, so what else should you worry about? 🙂
