2Getting on top of new baby equipment
I’m starting to realise I really have to start reading instruction manuals. I’ve only read one after Baby Girl was born – and that’s if looking at illustrations count.
There’s so much new baby equipment in our house and a pile of instruction manuals to read, but so far it’s mostly been guesswork. For me, it’s been a case of trying all the buttons or settings to get things to work.
It’s just that this strategy is not always ideal when I’m in a rush. I was 45 minutes late for a doctor’s appointment last week, and I only managed to call to say I was running late 20 minutes after I was supposed to be there.
It’s not exactly easy to get out of the house when you have a car seat you don’t know how to detach from the car, a carrycot you don’t know how to remove from the base, and a stroller base you don’t know how to fold.
In fact, it’s sometimes pure luck that I manage to get out at all. I’m just dreading the day it rains when I have to get somewhere. The raincover for the pram looks like something I could easily be fighting with for a good hour.
I enjoy reading this post. Looking forward to see your next blog. Thanks.
Thank you, Jeanie. Glad to hear you liked it
