0Getting organised for the New Year
When I was running out the door on Friday, I realised that I really should add one more New Year’s resolution. Get organised.
It’s apparently not enough to get organised in the morning. It’s all about the night before.
As of today, I’m starting to plan what everyone’s wearing the night before. I’m filling in the daily or weekly notes for school or nursery books the night before. I’m preparing water bottles the night before. I’m finding instruments the night before, and I’m getting sportsgear and swimming costumes out the night before.
I used to think I would have time to do everything in the morning instead, but after a few years of trying and failing I’ve finally come to realise that my problem is that no matter how early I get up I seem to run out of time in the mornings.
I need to be better prepared.
No more running up and down stairs when we should have left five minutes earlier.
Bring on a calm and relaxed start to the day.
