0Getting ready for summer with an at-home mani-pedi
By the time my manicure and pedicure had finished on Friday night, everything that had been on the table before we started was on the floor and the TV was no longer on E4, but on Disney channel.
It was way past Baby Girl’s bedtime, but there was no way she was going to miss the mani-pedi with Gloss+Polish, which I had been offered to test for free.
Gloss+Polish manicures and pedicures are available four days a week, four times a day and can be booked online. The focus area is South Kensington, but it’s possible to email to ask about other postcodes and times. The service is ideal for mums, as they offer appointments after children go to bed at 7.30 or 9.15 in the evening.
Baby Girl didn’t really get this last point. When she woke up for the second time after the 75-minute session had started, I decided to let her sit next to me instead. She was very excited about our guest, who had brought a bag full of goodies–a foldable footstool, around seven different nail colours, a lovely Aloe Vera cream and lots of other bits and bobs.
Baby Girl seemed thrilled to see pink nail polish lined up on her table, and didn’t even need the Disney channel before the last thirty minutes. I was thrilled to see clean equipment and a foot file with disposable strips, and I didn’t really mind my me-time turning into a girly night with Baby Girl. A true treat for both of us.
