0Going on holiday with another family
Yesterday I took a photo of Baby Girl that I’m expecting to be part of a slideshow at her future wedding. Baby Girl was sitting in the sand on the beach at Belles Rives in Juan les Pins next to her best friend. They were both wearing matching pink UV suits and sun hats, and other beach-goers came up to us and asked if they were twins.
But the other Baby Girl, who is four days younger than our Baby Girl, is not her twin. It is just her very good friend–and perhaps her future maid of honour when she’s met Mr Right.
For now, however, it’s much more important that Daddy T and I have met Mr and Mrs Right. They are the parents of Baby Girl’s friend and the perfect couple to go on holiday with. We’re spending a long weekend together in the South of France now, and it’s the very first time I’ve been on holiday with Baby Girl and had a chance to read my favourite magazine Conde Nast Traveller.
Baby Girl’s toys are suddenly more interesting again now that someone else wants to play with them too, we’re two mums planning and preparing baby meals, and two dads helping out without being asked.
I hope Mr and Mrs Right have a lot of holiday saved up, so we can all make the most of our BA cards in the year to come.
