03 half-term activities to book last minute
L.O.L. Surprise Launch at Westfield London
On Monday collectable toy brand L.O.L. Surprise will be launching at the Entertainer at Westfield London. Families can register to attend online for free, and the ticketed event will feature a meet-and-greet session. Big Girl has already seen YouTube videos with these new little surprise dolls, and has become a fan even before seeing them live. Each attendee will get to meet Toys AndMe as well as receive a L.O.L. Surprise! doll to take home. The sessions on Monday run from 12.45 to 1.30pm and 1.30 to 2.30pm, but registrants must exchange e-tickets for a physical ticket at The Entertainer White City store on the day before 11am. Flip Out in Wandsworth
Let the children bounce and have fun in a giant trampoline park like Flip Out in Wandsworth, where it’s easy to park and still availability for half-term. I’m taking both four-year-old Big Girl and 20-month-old Baby Boy to Flip Out with friends this half term, and I can’t wait to get us all jumping away in green socks. Fun for all ages.
Children’s Baking Class at Bake With Maria
I attended an event at the baking lab Bake With Maria in St Johns Wood two years ago, and I still remember the friendly Maria and the welcoming atmosphere in the intimate kitchen, which was a tad difficult to find and certainly off the beaten track for me. On Monday there’s a children’s baking class at Bake With Maria from 10am to 1pm (£50) and when I last checked there were spaces available to book online (Parents are recommended to stay in the class if the child is under 6 years old). There’s also a 3.5-hour family baking class for both adults and children on 17 February (£95 for 1 adult and 1 child (recommended for children aged 7 to 14 years)).
