0Hamleys Christmas Toy Parade brings new and classic toys to Regent Street
‘I’m going to tell my friends we saw the real Father Christmas’
Four-year-old Big Girl was very excited from the get-go of the Hamleys Christmas Toy Parade this morning. We had been invited to a breakfast at Hamleys Toy Shop before the free event on Regent Street, and had filled up on waffles and hot chocolate before putting on our rain ponchos to view the big parade.
It started with big bands, Hamleys Christmas elves and a giant-sized inflatable Santa before Big Girl soon spotted a real VIP. It was Father Christmas, and according to Big Girl, it was the real Father Christmas. He was standing on the roof of a red double decker bus accompanied by Peppa Pig and a LEGO minifigure.
The bus was followed by a range of other favourite toys, luxury cars and performers. There were two double decker buses with CBeebies characters, such as Postman Pat, Hey Duggee, Igglepiggle and Upsy Daisy and Bing and Flop, as well as Fireman Sam driving his own fire engine.
Big Girl was also super excited to see a life-sized strawberry Shopkin, which was a highlight for a girl who loves her collectibles, and I think Baby Boy loved seeing the giant-sized VTech Toot Toot Drivers inflatable car.
A brilliant family morning with Hamleys on Regent Street!
