1Hampton Canvas launches new Mummy and Me collection
Last year I think I may have caught onto the kids canvas shoe trend a few weeks later than the rest of SW London. By the time I was packing for May half term, which was a few hours before leaving for the airport, some of Big Girl’s favourite colours appeared to be difficult to get hold of in the all-important summer canvas shoes in the shop we had gone to.
This year I plan to get the children in canvas shoes a bit earlier, and on Monday I was excited to see a large selection of Hampton Canvas shoes in a range of colours in the new Trotters flagship store on Kensington High Street–both for children and their mums.
Hampton Canvas, a brand that originally existed within the Hampton Classic range of footwear at Trotters, will now be separated out as a standalone business to be run by Fulham resident William Ross (pictured above) and his sister Natasha Ross, the two children of the husband and wife team behind Trotters.
The new London brand now has its own online store, where the new Mummy and Me collection was launched last week, and Hampton Canvas will also have various pop-up shops throughout the summer season.
The shoes are made in Europe and feature natural rubber, no solvents or glue. For me, I think canvas shoes are brilliant since they are also machine-washable, lightweight and the price point means they can be fun to have in different colours.
The Hampton Canvas Plum style, a retro plimsoll slip-on shoe, comes in 11 colours and sizes range from EU 24 to EU41. Prices start from £35 for adults and £25 for children, making the practical canvas shoes an inexpensive but stylish option for coastal summer living.
Thank you SO much for this fab blog post! I’m so happy to hear you’re a fan of our shoes 🙂 xxx
