0How not to travel with baby
My laptop did not have a good holiday. It took me a good 12 hours to realise that it was not in my changing bag/fridge-to-go after I arrived in Nice last Saturday.
As soon as I found out it was missing, I called Daddy T, who was back in London. Tears were running down my face, as I explained that it must have been stolen when Baby Girl and I had felt squashed and exhausted in a queue.
The buggy hadn’t arrived at the jetty, and I had been forced to throw my bag over my shoulder and use the little energy and strength I had left in my arms to safely carry my little one, who is not so little any more.
When I tried to think back, I couldn’t really remember much about where I’d last seen the laptop either. I used to be the organised traveller who only had a carry-on with locks and zippers, but now I’m the stressed mum travelling with an open bag with no zipper and various pouches sticking out.
But I was lucky this time. My laptop had the joy of spending a night at Nice Airport. I just hope it doesn’t become a regular at the Lost and Found office there. I guess I have to try a little bit harder next time.
