0How to enjoy flying with a 2-year-old
‘Hi London’
‘Hi London’
‘Hi London’
‘It’s getting dark outside’
‘It’s nighttime’
‘We’re in a tunnel’
‘I don’t like tunnels’
We had just landed at Heathrow and were sitting on a bus to the main terminal building. Two-and-a-half-year-old Baby Girl was looking out of the window, waving and chatting non-stop.
When she’s talking like this in public, I almost feel I shouldn’t laugh. It somehow feels like laughing of my own jokes, but it can simply be hysterically funny to travel with a toddler and it’s sometimes difficult to at least avoid giggling.
The best part is that it’s impossible to feel exhausted from travelling when being responsible for a chatterbox entertaining a large group of strangers seated nearby. Baby Girl knows how to give me that little bit of extra energy for the last stretch of a trip.
I have to smile when my travel companion starts singing ‘Let It Go’ loudly in the passport queue full of tired looking tourists, and I have to giggle when I also hear her shouting: ‘Come on, Mummy and Daddy’ in an attempt to get the whole family to join in like we do at home.
I really do love travelling with my fresh and confident little chatterbox.
Go Baby Girl!
