When Big Girl was little I didn’t take her to a show before she was 15 months old. At that point I was still worried it would be too long for her to sit through a performance, but I was wrong. By the end of the show, I was practically annoyed with myself for not having taken her earlier, as I realised good quality shows geared towards young children are designed to entertain little theatre-goers and she seemed to love it.

That’s why I can’t wait to introduce Baby Boy to In the Night Garden Live, a show Big Girl has loved the last two summers. I think In The Night Garden Live will be fantastic introduction to theatre for Baby Boy, who will have turned one year by then.

The show stands out because it features the adorable characters from the CBeebies children’s TV hit, and it is held in a showdome where even standard seats are relatively close to the stage. The entertaining performance gets little ones up on their feet, singing along and giggling.

Tickets are now on sale for the 2016 In the Night Garden Live tour, and in London the show is on in Blackheath from 26 May to 11 June, and in the Old Deer Park in Richmond from 18 June to 2 July.
