0Installing an oven door lock to protect baby
When Baby Girl had her one-year review in June, I was asked about babyproofing in the home. If the review had been a home visit I think the health visitor would have been very pleased with what I’d done. I’ve babyproofed so well that even I can’t open the oven door anymore.
On Thursday I was forced to change Baby Girl’s supper in the last minute after failing to open the self-adhesive Clevamama Oven Door Lock I’ve installed. We were running late, and I was getting more and more stressed about getting the supper ready quickly so Baby Girl wouldn’t become too tired to eat it.
As I was preparing to put the chicken in the oven, I suddenly realised I had put the oven lock on for the first time and binned the instructions. I had no idea how to open it again, and got tired of trying after a few minutes of both me and Baby Girl hammering away on the lock.
Considering the fact that Daddy T has now had to give me a demo of how to open the oven door, I guess it’s safe to say that the lock works.
