0Review: Kiddie Cubes for making weaning with organic baby food easy
When eight-month-old Baby Boy had a friend over for brunch the other day, the menu was pretty varied. There were the usual croissants and baguettes for the mummies, and pureed options for the youngest at the table.
I’ve filled the freezer with a mix of homemade portions of baby food and freezer-packed Kiddie Cubes, which were ideal to bring out for our baby brunch guests.
After I’d told the other mum about the benefits of frozen organic baby food from Kiddie Cubes, which I first received to review and have since continued buying, she was so impressed she photographed the pack I’d pulled out from our freezer.
Kiddie Cubes offers a range of baby food cooked with organic ingredients and frozen in baby-sized portions, avoiding heat treatment and keeping the goodness locked in. I defrost the cubes in the microwave in 30 seconds (one or two cubes) , and use them when I’m running low on some of my homecooked options.
They come in a variety of options, and my favourites are the fruit cubes. I usually steam and cook food in the Beaba Babycook, but I quickly run out of fruit portions that I may give a bit of three times a day, and Baby Boy loves the mango and apple and apple and pear Kiddie Cubes, conveniently available from Ocado.
I sometimes make exactly the same combinations homecooked, but I prefer to prioritise cooking homemade protein meals instead, so for me, the Kiddie Cubes are a great help for stocking up on fruit meals.
At our brunch both babies enjoyed the mango and apple Kiddie Cubes, and we could almost have our baguettes in peace.
Bliss.
