2First-time mum making the most of a good night’s sleep
I think I might have confused the golf pro I take lessons with. He must have gotten used to me turning up and being quite distant. I’ve been nodding when I’ve been given instructions, but a lot of the time I’ve been more than a little bit distracted, worrying about Baby Girl who’s been meant to sleep in the buggy next to the golf simulator, or just generally been too tired to really digest any instructions. Clearly not a very promising golfer.
But yesterday I did it. I was back to being me. I can’t say I used to turn up to a golf lesson with spinach and salmon all over my top before I had Baby Girl, but apart from that I felt pretty normal. I was actually able to listen and follow instructions, and my practise had paid off–improved swing path, face angle and carry.
Wow. It feels good learning and improving at something that has nothing to do with cooking a balanced diet for a little one, recognising the signs of child illnesses, or stimulating brain development in the first year.
And it’s actually doable now when eight-month old Baby Girl sleeps through the night and is more predictable during the day. This new life with more sleep is really doing wonders for me–not to mention my swing.
Good job! Congrats to both you and your sleeping princess 🙂
Thank you! It’s lovely to learn something new 🙂
