Leggings, trainers and Bugaboos
After a day walking around Nappy Valley looking at christening gowns for Baby Girl, we’ve realised we’ve seen a lot of pregnant women, mums and pregnant mums. This seems to have confused Grandma N, who is visiting this week. She keeps commenting that leggings and trainers must be be the hottest fashion trend in London right now.
I’m not sure if the fashion magazines agree or not. They probably don’t go trend-spotting in Nappy Valley, searching for the Bugaboo contingent. But if they had, I’m sure they too would have reached the same conclusion as Grandma N.
The trainers/leggings combo is definitely hot. I’m just not sure it works as well without a Bugaboo. It’s almost like the Bugaboo is part of the look.
That’s at least how I feel. Baby Girl is one month old now, and I’ve certainly not left the house in anything else than black leggings and Nike trainers – and Baby Girl’s cherished Bugaboo comes everywhere with us. It’s now become our staple piece – much like my LBD used to be.
