0Lloyds Pharmacy to make repeat prescriptions easier to manage
Sometimes I feel I spend half the day running errands, and there are two places I visit pretty frequently – the post office and the local pharmacy. I buy everything from vitamins to kids snacks from the pharmacy, and I also go to pick up the odd prescription.
For those who have repeat prescriptions that need to be collected regularly, I can see it being a headache to constantly queue up at pharmacies. That’s why I was not surprised when I went to a breakfast with LloydsPharmacy at Saatchi Gallery’s Gallery Mess in Chelsea and heard a survey showed 29% of those on long term medication have missed taking their medicine because they didn’t have time to get to a pharmacy.
The breakfast meeting was about a new service from LloydsPharmacy. To help make it easier to get prescription medicine on time, LloydsPharmacy has launched LloydsPharmacy Prescription Delivery Service, delivering prescriptions by mail for free and offering free reminders to customers.
With the new launch LloydsPharmacy can manage prescription orders online and deliver prescribed medicines to patients to their address of choice after the patients have completed a short registration process online or on the phone. The service is available to patients in England, and is expected to be useful to busy parents who may struggle to find time to visit the pharmacy.
At the breakfast, I also learnt about other free services by LloydsPharmacy, and I was particularly excited to hear about the Selfridges concession. There’s a Lloyds Pharmacy in Selfridges on Oxford Street, and this branch offers a free skin analysis service, among others.
Useful services to look out for!
