London children’s birthday party venues: No 11 Pimlico Road

The countdown has started. There’s only four months to go until Baby Girl’s big day. In London, turning 2 is no laughing matter. The venue has to be booked, the theme has to be set,the entertainer has to be secured and the cake has to be ordered.

So far I’ve only started gathering information on venues, and that’s why I’ve decided to feature some of my favourite children’s birthday party venues in South West London on Mummy in the City in the coming weeks.

And first up is my regular brunch spot..

No 11 Pimlico Road
Restaurant No 11 Pimlico Road, a 5-minute walk from Sloane Square, has an event space on the first floor, which is popular for children’s birthday parties. I’ve never been to an event there, but I’ve seen it when it’s been set up for parties, and immediately wanted to consider it for Baby Girl’s birthday. The room feels light and airy compared to many other private dining rooms, and loos are conveniently located on the same floor.

To host your little ones party here, there’s a £500 minimum spend, but no room hire for two hours. Parents are welcome to come decorate before the event, and you can also bring in a birthday cake. The children’s menu is priced at £7.50 and includes two courses, main course and ice cream sundae or fruit skewer. It’s also possible to order from the breakfast menu if you’re planning a party early in the day.

For many of us new to the party-planning game, it’s also useful to know that the event manager at No 11 Pimlico Road has a list of contacts for children’s birthday party entertainers. Not to be forgotten!
