London children’s birthday party venues: Biscuiteers

Biscuiteers Flower Tin Birthday In the last month, Baby Girl and I have ended up doing the icing café at the lovely Biscuiteers in Northcote Road three times. I love the fact that I can sit down with a hot chocolate and have a chat, while she is busy decorating three biscuits with icing and decorations, so one of the times we visited we went to hear more about the birthday party options.

After seeing how long Baby Girl is entertained when decorating biscuits, I could see Biscuiteers in Notting Hill and Northcote Road being ideal birthday party venues, particularly for school-age girls.

Biscuiteers
The cute and girly Biscuiteers shops and cafes on Northcote Road and in Notting Hill offer 2-hour children’s birthday party packages, including 1.5 hours of icing and 30 minutes for birthday food.

During the event, partygoers get to ice a whole tin of biscuits (see picture of flower tin above), and these biscuits are chosen in advance to fit with the birthday theme. For a princess party, for example, there are lots of princess shapes for the birthday girl to choose from, such as a princess castle, and for boys’ parties superhero biscuits can be a fun choice. Everyone gets to take home the biscuits they decorate, which will be packed in a beautiful tin, and make a lovely goody bag. Partygoers also get a special Biscuiteers apron and a certificate in their goody bags, and the birthday child gets a personalised Biscuiteers birthday biscuit.

Party packages start from £360 for 12 children plus £9 per child. For parties with between 12 and 20 children, the price is £420 plus £9 per child, and the maximum number of children is 22 in Northcote Road, which is the largest venue.

The prices include biscuits and tins, materials, aprons, certificates, and one icer per six children, meaning partygoers get a lot of attention during the icing session, but food, decorations and cake come as extras. In terms of party food, Biscuiteers offers pizza for £10 per person, or a selection of four party nibbles for £15 per person. Birthday cakes start from £65 and birthday invitations are £7.50 for 10. Some also choose to add extras for goody bags, such as cake cutters.

The children’s parties in the shops are offered for children aged 6 and over, but for younger children Biscuiteers parties can be held in your home, for example, for an additional charge.
