0London children’s birthday party venues: Goat Chelsea
‘What if we get a shade sail for the garden and use that if it rains?’
‘What? No, way. We’re not having it here’
Baby Girl had asked us to have her party at home this year, so that’s what I’d planned for. At least until Daddy T heard about the party.
He couldn’t quite see the point in squeezing in close to 20 three-year-olds and potentially 40 grown-ups in our kitchen and living room – not even when I suggested getting a back-up sail shade to make it possible to extend the living space into the garden.
I realised it was time to start calling around to some of our favourite venues, where we’d been to kids birthday parties before, and Goat in Chelsea was one of the venues I contacted:
Goat
Family-friendly Chelsea restaurant Goat on Fulham Road is a popular children’s birthday party venue, offering party packages on both weekends (saturdays 12-4.30pm and sundays 12-2.30pm/3-5.30pm) and weekdays (12-2.30pm/3-5.30pm. Birthday parties at Italian-style Goat are held in the first floor bar, which is ideal for bringing in an entertainer and serving a buffet meal, and on the lower mezzanine, where the party can move to if opting for a sit-down birthday meal.
To host a kid’s birthday party here, there’s a £500 minimum spend plus 12.5% service charge, and the kids sit-down meals start from £9 per child. The kids buffet, which includes juice and four dishes such as mini burgers or pizza, is £12 per child. Goat can provide a brownie cake or a cheesecake, but other cakes would need to be ordered separately.
When we went to a party here, I liked that the first floor bar boasts large windows, making the room light and airy, and we could sit on comfortable seating along the wall while the little ones were entertained by a fun magician. Party on!
