0London children’s birthday party venues: The Kensington Hotel
After seeing how much Baby Girl loves chilling on a bean bag while enjoying the storytelling at the monthly children’s afternoon tea at The Kensington Hotel (see picture), I couldn’t resist asking the team about birthday party options. She obviously loves this stylish South Kensington hotel!
The Kensington Hotel
The Kensington Hotel on Queen’s Gate has a private dining room at the back of the large ground floor restaurant, and if you go to a children’s afternoon tea at the hotel, you can see how well this venue works for children’s events.
To organise a birthday party here, there’s no room hire, but a minimum spend from £1000 on Sundays and £1500 on Saturdays and weekdays. The children’s party menu is £14.95 per person, and includes a selection of sandwiches, carrot and cucumber sticks with dip, chicken goujons, pizza bites, mini-burgers, fries and ice cream. Jugs of fresh apple or orange juice can be ordered for £15 per jug, and there’s also an adult menu, including tea, coffee and afternoon tea sandwiches at £9.50 per person, and mini cheeseburgers at £4 per person.
There can be a maximum of 25-30 children in the room at the back of the restaurant, and parents are welcome to bring in decorations and a birthday cake – as well as the all important entertainer!
The hotel restaurant will be closed for refurbishment from 10 May to 10 June 2014.
