Making art with baby
I’ve never been more excited about red marks on a piece of paper before. The red marks I had in my bag on a piece of yellow paper on Tuesday were adorable. They were adorable because Baby Girl had created them. It was her very first proper piece of art.
Our little star was sat in a high chair in the art room at Purple Dragon next to her baby friend when they both made their first artwork without any assistance. They used vegetable oil-based red ink pads and yellow paper.
I felt terribly proud. Her art went straight up on the wall. We practically have to have a dinner party just to show friends we have such an art-savvy six-month old.
On Thursday, I also had to stop my at-home pilates session to have my instructor from Jelly Belly PT go look at it. It’s now become impossible for anyone to visit us without complementing Baby Girl on her art. But who would want to miss it? The new painting in the kitchen is clearly a masterpiece.
