Making kids food exciting at Jamie’s Italian

Jamies Italian Kids FoodWhen we arrived at Jamie’s Italian at Westfield the other week it looked like the family on the table next to us had brought some yummy-looking packed lunches. But I soon realised they weren’t being rude. The colourful boxes were actually from the kids menu.

The kids menu at Jamie’s Italian, which we had been invited to review, is among the best I’ve seen. All dishes are available in two sizes and come with a salad and drink, and there are fun and exciting options for little restaurantgoers. I like that the menu includes nutritious food, including organic ingredients, and the dishes we saw came beautifully presented although we had to wait a bit.

I couldn’t persuade three-year-old Baby Girl to go for the picnic box, which I loved the look of, but she wanted chicken lollipops. The lemony chicken lollipops she ordered were easy for her to hold and eat on her own, and since the portion was quite big, I got a chance to try some too.

I wish I could make food like this for my family at home every day. I really want to make dinners more exciting, and  I think seeing the Jamie’s Italian food can be good for inspiration–and of course to fill the family up when going for doll hairdressing or a visit to Kid Zania at Westfield.
