0The British countryside inspires Mini Rodini A/W17 collection
In June I walked into a breakfast when I felt the zipper on my dress break. I escaped to the loo to try to fix the problem, but after many attempts realised I would just have to cover up the entire side of my dress with my arm.
There was no way I would leave and miss out on the event, as it was the preview of Swedish brand Mini Rodini’s AW 17 Darling Britain collection and I had made it to the cool and quirky Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings in Clerkenwell.
The garden room at the B&H Buildings was the perfect backdrop for the launch of Mini Rodini’s new collection. We were sitting midst a mix of rustic garden furniture, soft furnishing with floral prints and fresh flowers, while hearing about how the British countryside and The Secret Garden were the inspiration for Darling Britain.
With an easily recognisable Mini Rodini look, the new collection or children aged 0 to 11 features statement prints with nature-inspired themes, such as foxes, roses, bats and rabbits. There are, among others, fleece trousers and jackets in 100% recycled polyester, and leggings, tops, dresses and skirts in organic cotton.
The brand has become known for organic materials and clothes that are comfortable to wear for children, and the product range now consists of over 99% sustainable materials yearly.
