My 1st Years Personalised Crown Muslins 2 Pack (£12)
For friends who ask for advice on baby shopping, I always say it’s best to start with 10 or more muslins, depending on the baby and frequency of laundry being done in the house, and one friend said she’d started with 10 and ended up sending dad out to buy 10 more in the first week. That’s why I picked the personalised cotton muslins from baby gifts company My 1st Years as a newborn gift I wanted to review, as I think all new parents will find these useful and with free personalisation the set makes for a thoughtful, practical baby gift. The crown muslins from My 1st Years are a generous size and quick-drying, and it’s fun to have two unique and personalised muslins for taking out and about. The muslins are available with a red crown or blue crown, and the price includes free personalisation with different colour options for the writing.
Natures Purest Bamboo Baby Blanket (£20)
One of the newborn baby gifts we used the most after Baby Girl was born was the Natures Purest bamboo greeting blanket, which is incredibly soft and light. It was ideal for use in the moses basket and later on holiday, as I think bamboo products are particularly good for regulating baby’s body temperature. The Natures Purest bamboo blanket, which also a friend recommended as her favourite baby gift, makes a wonderful newborn gift for summer babies.
Faye and Lou X-tra Large Cozio Swaddling Muslins (£27.95)
I’ve often given muslin swaddling blankets as newborn gifts after realising how versatile they are and ideal to use for anything from creating shade in the buggy, swaddling a newborn or burping baby to use as a blanket in warm weather or even a towel or play mat for travelling. I recently received a pack of three X-tra Large Muslins from London-brand Faye and Lou to review, and these are soft and colourful and make a wonderful and super practical newborn gift for any new parents. When I met up with a friend of mine on the beach with our toddlers last summer, she had brought the muslin blanket I’d given her two years earlier for use on the beach. A pretty long-lasting gift!
Oh I love the personalised muslins. Got some pregnant friends at the moment so will take note.
They make a really lovely gift – and muslins are always useful!
