I’ve often given muslin swaddling blankets as newborn gifts after realising how versatile they are and ideal to use for anything from creating shade in the buggy, swaddling a newborn or burping baby to use as a blanket in warm weather or even a towel or play mat for travelling. I recently received a pack of three X-tra Large Muslins from London-brand Faye and Lou to review, and these are soft and colourful and make a wonderful and super practical newborn gift for any new parents. When I met up with a friend of mine on the beach with our toddlers last summer, she had brought the muslin blanket I’d given her two years earlier for use on the beach. A pretty long-lasting gift!
