0When mum starts playing Fishdom
A few months ago I downloaded an array of iPhone apps in preparation for a long trip with kids. Instead of the kids testing all the apps, however, it’s been me who’s been keeping busy.
When I’ve needed to switch off this summer, I’ve been on my phone looking at my fishes. There are six fishes in my tropical-themed iPhone aquarium on Fishdom, and I regularly go in to feed them, clean the aquarium, attempt to beat a level to earn rewards, or organise some new decorations.
I can’t remember having used my phone for playing games at all before-it’s usually the kids-but this time I’m hooked. It’s somehow been relaxing to play now and then when we’ve been staying with family and moving from one place to another, and even the kids have helped feed the fish and name the fish after everyone in the family, including their favourite cuddly toys.
There are probably tonnes of things I should be doing instead of playing my new favourite fish game, but summer for me has sometimes been about escaping to the happy aquarium on my phone.
