My 2016 Christmas wish list

When I was asked by household appliance brand Vorwerk UK to put together a Christmas wish list of all I want for Christmas, I figured it could work in my favour.

Daddy T is not big on Christmas shopping, and he usually dedicates around an hour to do all his presents the day before Christmas. By then it’s too late to order presents online, and the bag I may have secretly wished for will be long gone.

In other words, it makes complete sense to publish a few ideas now instead. He may even have the opportunity to grab a couple of Black Friday weekend bargains:

1. I would love a cross body bag for Christmas. I’m slowly becoming less dependent on a large changing bag as the kids are getting older, but a cross-body bag like the fun and stylish Anya Hindmarch Smiley Cross Body Bag (£550), available from Harrods (see picture at the top) would mean I could still have both hands free, which is important when being out and about with children. I’ve seen the Smiley bag in both red and black, and although I first fell for the festive red one, the black one might be a more practical option for me.

2. I also adore the Elskling Studded Mule slippers by AAndreassen (£150). After reviewing a different pair of slippers by the London-based company last year, I know how good quality the products are and the smart slippers would be ideal when we have guests over at our house.

3. After a long stretch of not wearing necklaces because of Baby Boy, I can’t wait to get started again, and the Gold-Plated Double Cat Necklace with pink crystals by Paris-based Bénédicte (£150), available from The Conran Shop, would be a cool pick for the festive season.

4. The kids frequently ruin my make-up and the last item to break was a Chantecaille cheek and eye pallets, so I’ve added a new Chantecaille pallet (£74), which is available at Harrods, to my Christmas wish list. I don’t want to be without one any longer.

5. I’m still pushing the buggy around every day, and my hands get super cold at times. I’ve been excited to see The Conran Shop stocking the fabulous, classic Hestra sheepskin mittens (£70) now, and these would solve all my winter problems – in style.

6. I’ve long been a Disney fan, and I’m sure Big Girl would love to choose something like the sweet limited edition Mickey in London Ceramic Travel Cup by Cath Kinston (£14), which will be available from Cath Kinston from early December

7. Several of my favourite jackets and coats are from Katherine Hooker, and I’ve now spotted the selection of amazing scarves from the Chelsea brand. The Charcoal and Black Paisley Cashmere Scarf by Katherine Hooker (£225) would give an instant upgrade to my often increasingly casual winter wardrobe.

8. I regularly wear merino wool clothes from WoolLand Norway, and I like them so much I would love a few more pieces for Christmas. I think the Skogshorn Merino Wool Women’s Jumper (£99) in snow white would go well with jeans this winter and could easily be dressed up.

9. When I’ve read through 2016 gift selections recently one of the books that has caught my attention is the V&A Fashion Mash-Up (Penguin Books, £17.99), which is a dress-up book covering different styles and fashion trends. It features 250 stickers, styling tips and 5 Instagram backgrounds. Fun for mums too.

10. The Brent Wedge Sneakers by Isabel Marant Etoile (£365), available from Harrods, were on the top of my wish list, but they ended up being an early Christmas present instead. The perfect winter boots for mums on the go!

The team at Vorwerk asked me to take part in their #AllIWantForChristmas campaign, designed to uncover what is on the ultimate Christmas wishlists of some of the UK’s parenting and lifestyle bloggers in the run up to this year’s festivities. I have chosen the products independently without any guidance or input.
