0Mums, watch out for ladder on Lower Sloane Street!
Last night, I kept thinking: “Why did I have to walk down Lower Sloane Street today?” I was lying on the sofa with a mild headache and feeling increasingly worried about not getting better despite having been examined by a GP earlier in the day.
I had promised myself to slow down when pushing a buggy, never to multi-task, and never to continue walking when trying to soothe an upset Baby Girl who doesn’t always feel like sitting in the buggy.
Baby Girl and I had been out for a walk in the late morning, and I had failed to see a ladder on the sidewalk in Lower Sloane Street and walked straight into it, bumping my head.
Initially, I didn’t think much of it and walked home to put ice on the bump, but I soon started worrying when I developed a headache and later felt a bit nauseous.
I tried to convince Daddy T that I would survive the night home alone with Baby Girl despite it being advised to be with someone in case symptoms were to worsen, but he refused to leave me on his own and ended up having to cancel a work trip.
At 2 in the morning, I was pretty pleased he was there. I was still lying in bed suffering from a headache, and Baby Girl was suffering from side effects from vaccinations the same day.
Just another day with baby in London!
