0Review: New Braun no-touch and forehead thermometer for new parents
When I turned up at the press event for the new Braun thermometer the other week, I instantly thought: ‘Wow, this is what new mums need.’
Braun has launched a new no-touch and forehead thermometer, and when I tried it out I found myself wishing I’d had this when Baby Girl was born.
The new thermometer (£52.99) lets mums check their little one’s temperature by holding the thermometer directly on the forehead or holding it up to 5cm away. The fact that it has a no-touch mode means it can be used without disturbing a sleeping child, and it is also good for avoiding to spread germs between family members.
Since receiving a sample of the new thermometer at the event, I’ve already tried it several times on myself and Baby Girl, and I feel the results are accurate and it is a good thermometer for us to use as a family.
However, the Number 1 time in life when I really missed a product like this was when we returned home from hospital with Baby Girl. As a first time mum, I was very worried about fever, and at times I found it difficult to know if Baby Girl had a raised temperature.
I had bought a number of different thermometers to give myself reassurance, but a digital forehead thermometer is really what I missed at this point in time, as I felt a forehead thermometer was particularly suitable in the early days.
I think the no-touch Braun thermometer is a great buy for first time parents, who would like an easy-to-use thermometer that is suitable to use from birth.
