When there’s a new chatterbox in the family

If someone had told me in February that Baby Boy would say “I love you, mummy” on 8 June this year, I wouldn’t have believed them. I was comparing Baby Boy to Big Girl, and I was Googling the number of words he should have in his vocabulary.

But then he took the leap.

When he was getting closer to his two-year-birthday he started copying practically everything four-year-old Big Girl said, and he’s now saying the cutest things that completely melt me. As of last week that cute-list includes “I love you, mummy!”

He’s also now regularly adding a “sorry, mummy” after doing one of his many cheeky stunts.

And he is becoming extremely polite,  saying “no, thanks” when we were approaching nursery this morning and he decided he wanted to follow Big Girl to school instead.

This is it.

We’ll soon have another chatterbox in the family!
