0Online art workshops for kids with Art Enthusiasts London
As we continue to spend more time at home, we’ve come to love the growing availability of virtual activities, and in recent weeks, kids online painting workshops with Art Enthusiasts London have become a favourite.
The popular artist-led virtual workshops focus on famous painters and periods in art history, attracting hundreds of budding artists for live paint-alongs.
Each children’s workshop starts with a short introduction to the day’s theme, a few slides about the artist of the day. The next step is then to get the pencil ready to follow the first steps of drawing, and after that the painting can begin.
We’ve been using A4 watercolour paper and a mix of watercolours, ready-mix paints and pastels, depending on the workshop, but we’ve now bought a set of gauche paint tubes to be ready for future lessons.
The Art Enthusiasts London sessions, which last around one and a half hour, are hosted on Zoom, and it works fine to join with the video off. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite, and one ticket (typically £4.36) covers one device.
