Review: Orchard Toys Giant Town Jigsaw for creative family fun

The other Sunday Big Girl and Baby Boy were lying on our big playmat playing together. We had created a big town, where Baby Boy could drive his cars, and Big Girl could do pretend play with lots of little stand-up people and cars from the Orchard Toys Giant Town jigsaw we’d received to review.

The Orchard Toys Giant Town jigsaw (£13.95) was on display at Toy Fair 2016 together with the Giant Road, Giant Railway and Airport expansion pack, and the large road network jigsaw was one of my favourites at the show. The series of jigsaws can be connected to create a large town, and we’ve received the 15-piece Giant Town jigsaw and 9-piece Airport jigsaw.

With these two packs with extra large pieces, we have enough to create a relatively large network of roads, where we can put Baby Boy’s first cars to the test. The Giant Town jigsaw also includes a number of stand-up cardboard cars and characters that Big Girl enjoy moving around, and making up stories about.

I like this jigsaw which we can continue to add to by buying more packs, as it is a brilliant way to encourage little ones to do puzzles and it is particularly fun since it creates a great setting for pretend play.
