0Our first broken stroller
I don’t think I can give Baby Girl all the credit for our record-long trip back from Heathrow on Wednesday. It didn’t help that we had a smashed stroller to drag around the airport.
I knew it was bad news when the captain came and asked if our stroller was missing a wheel. It turned out Baby Girl’s Maclaren Quest hadn’t survived the flight.
Without the stroller, I had nowhere to put her down, so I had to carry her and our bag. There was no way I was going to be able to take the stroller with me, but the lovely cabin services director helped us through the special assistance queue in the passport control and carried the stroller to the baggage area.
After handing in the broken stroller and sorting out the claims reference, the next issue was to find the car. The battery was dead on my phone, so I had to borrow the cabin services director’s phone to call Daddy T to give me directions. We still managed to squeeze in a good ten minutes of walking around the short stay car park with a crying Baby Girl though.
I guess I shouldn’t have been too surprised by the fact that we didn’t even make it to the car park exit before the screaming started.
