0Painting baby feet on cards and pottery
Baby Girl has started planning what to get relatives for Christmas. It looks like feet will be a hot theme this year.
She started practising yesterday, producing her first artwork. I couldn’t be more proud. She was at her new family club Purple Dragon in Chelsea for the first time, and she turned out to be an excellent feet stamper.
Her left foot was painted in pink with a non-toxic paint used in nurseries, and she produced an adorable card with two little pink feet stamps.
The only problem is that it’s too cute to give away. I’ve placed it on the coffee table, and I can’t see us moving it to a more convenient place anytime soon.
I just hope I won’t feel as attached to Baby Girl’s artwork when we take her to the Pottery Cafe in Fulham next week. The plan is to print more baby feet on bowls and plates, and give to grandparents for Christmas.
But I’m worried that we will end up with a new dinner service instead – one that will have to be on permanent display on the coffee table.
