Making pineapple and banana mocktails with new Innocent Coconut Water

Innocent Coconut Water Mocktail Making‘No, me first!’

Three-year-old Big Girl was super excited about our kitchen project last Friday. She had done a school assessment earlier in the day, and I figured it was the perfect day to recharge the batteries and celebrate with a mocktail with Innocent’s new pure Coconut Water, which is a source of potassium.

We’d received a hamper with some fruity ingredients from Innocent and started preparing for our mocktail making by washing and peeling. We blended a banana, two strawberries and three slices of pineapple before measuring up 250ml of Innocent Coconut Water, and mixing it all together.

Big Girl was eager to try first. With colourful straws and strawberries for decoration, mocktail making was pretty popular. I was also excited to see how easy it was to include healthy coconut water and make a delicious drink.

Innocent Coconut Water MocktailsThere’s been so much focus on the health benefits of coconut in recent years, but I’ve not gotten to the stage where I’ve replaced oil in cooking with coconut like I’ve heard friends have done.

The pineapple and banana mocktail was a first step for me on our coconut journey, and considering that it turned out to be a brilliant afternoon treat I hope we’ll be celebrating more mocktails with Innocent Coconut Water in 2016.

New year, new family routines.
