0Planning baby’s first New Year’s Eve
I’ve received an email confirming that we’re all set for New Year’s Eve. But it was almost a bit embarrassing to read it. The email confirmed that we had a dinner reservation at 5.45 – perhaps not the most sought after table that evening.
We had originally requested a table at 7.30, but the restaurant has a New Year’s Eve gala event with live music and dancing, so we had the choice between eating early or joining the event.
Before Baby Girl was born, we went to those types of gale events several years in a row, loving the fact that we then had a chance to practise what we had been taught in our once weekly latin dance lessons with our instructor Elena.
But regrettably, we had to turn down the opportunity this time. No jive for Baby Girl. An early dinner with all the other young families is as exciting as her first New Year’s will get.
