0When plans for Mother’s Day change
This morning I thought I was going to have a lie in to celebrate Mother’s Day, but it turned out a lie in was not really part of four-year-old Big Girl’s agenda.
She wanted to wake me up as early as possible. She was practically jumping up and down next to our bed, wanting to show off her homemade card and bracelet.
After seeing her excitement there was no way I could insist on creeping back under the duvet. Her plan for Mother’s Day was clearly much more joyful, bringing us together and creating a lovely start to the day.
And I guess that’s what Mother’s Day is really all about. The lie in will be for another time.
Happy Mother’s Day!
