Practising colours with baby
After going around to different nurseries, I’ve received an awful lot of information about what activities I should be doing with Baby Girl now to prepare her for life at nursery. One of the leaflets I received said to point out colours to Baby Girl, so that’s all I’m doing now.
Yesterday we covered a dozen shades of pink. Baby Girl will be an expert on the colour pink.
I was wearing a coral pink sweater, a hot magenta necklace and plum-coloured bag, and she was in fuchsia. Her Jemima Puddle Duck toy had light pink details and her play mat was rose pink with hot pink and violet flowers.
She was later wrapped in a towel with a deep pink trim and her sleepsuit had cherry blossom pink stripes.
After a few more days of this, she can’t get it wrong. Pink is our favourite colour.
