Preparing for a second birthday
‘I’ll be 2, Daddy!’
Baby Girl was very excited the night before her birthday. She was speaking to Daddy T on the phone, and I told her to tell him how old she would be the next day.
After this conversation, I put her to bed and told her that tomorrow was her big day, and that she would be getting presents in the morning.
I was so happy for her. This was most definitely a huge event.
In fact, it was so huge I sort of expected her to lie in her cot bed with butterflies in her tummy and be way too excited to sleep.
But when I went back in to check on Baby Girl five minutes later, she had already drifted off.
It turns out I’m the only one in our family who struggles to sleep before the big 2!
