Protecting baby from insect bites

I’m pretty sure insect repellent isn’t meant to be applied on the tongue. I’m just not sure how I can apply insect repellent on Baby Girl without her getting it there.

Baby Girl is constantly sucking her thumbs and fingers, and it’s impossible to avoid her tasting anything applied on her skin.

That’s why I’ve had a sleepless night. I’ve been worrying about how to protect Baby Girl from getting a mosquito bite abroad. I’m not sure if it’s a big deal if she gets one though. Grandma N keeps assuring me our big 4-month old is very robust.

I just can’t help thinking a mosquito bite would be the type of thing that would make the crying even worse. I kind of feel reflux is enough for now.

But although I’ve read online that she’s old enough for insect repellent, I think she’s bound to touch it. Instead, I’ve decided we’ll have to rely on Daddy T’s scare tactics.

He’ll have a busy holiday. He’ll not only be carrying a tonnes of luggage. He’ll also be waving off any little insect in sight of Baby Girl. His Christmas belly will be gone in days.
