0Returning to a pre-pregnancy wardrobe
I ended up flashing my bra in a restaurant yesterday when Baby Girl and I were out for lunch with my parents and friends of theirs. Not great. But I guess this is part of what it’s like getting used to a new wardrobe.
It was my first time wearing a strapless jumpsuit and bra since Baby Girl was born and I had failed to account for how carrying an eight-month old who loves pulling on my clothes would affect my outfit.
It feels like I’m wearing something new every day now, as I’m rediscovering my pre-pregnancy wardrobe. A year ago I decluttered my wardrobe, creating one shelf with maternity wear and clothes that fit when I was pregnant.
That’s the shelf I stuck to until April. It’s been practical – and impossible to remember what I have elsewhere.
When Baby Girl was born, I only updated the shelf, adding nursing wear and replacing maternity jeans with normal ones. Cardigans, capes and floaty sweaters that worked when I was pregnant, have been ideal for breastfeeding too.
But now I’m ready to move on. I’m only breastfeeding three times a day, making it easier to wear normal clothes – apart from strapless jumpsuits obviously.
